Ace's Wild Adventure
Feature of the Month - Lodge Pole Pine trees and Golden Eagle. Read about how the Golden Eagle matures at age five and has an overall length of three feet. A Lodge Pole Pine grows to about 90 feet tall and likes a dry slope.
Ace's Wild Adventure brings a fun and educational environment to our children's programs. Children and guests visit the forested area between lower Ramrod and Molly Hogan to learn more about the alpine environment.
The first phase of Ace's Wild adventure is Gracie's Grove. The Grove features stations that introduce guests to the bio-diversity of Arapahoe Basin's mountain environment. Stations will act as outdoor teaching areas or as a self-guided tour focused on the animals, trees and plants, seasons and bio-zones of the mountain.
Ace's Wild Adventure will be integrated into Snowsports lessons so kids and adults will have a better understanding of the mountain environment. This full mountain concept will continue to grow over time.
