Moonlight Dinner Series- Randonee Dinner

Strap on your skins and head up the hill to Black Mountain Lodge for our "Night in Bavaria" Randonee Dinner. This evening starts under the full moon with a warming aperitif then continues with our hors d'oeuvres buffet of European grilled sausages, air-dried meats and cheeses, and hearth-baked breads. Enjoy the sights and scents of the Alps with our Bavarian Buffet featuring whole-roasted hog with sauerkraut and dumplings, as well as a buffet of traditional foods spanning several cultures and nations. Save your appetite for our desserts before you embark on your moonlight ski down the mountain.

This is not a lift-serviced event.

Schedule:

6:30pm-7:00pm: Guests skin or hike uphill from base area to Black Mountain Lodge
6:45pm: hors d'oeuvres
7:30pm: entrees
8:30pm: desserts
9:30pm: Guests ski, snowboard or snowshoe down the mountain to the base area

Freshly baked German-style pretzels

Grilled German sausages and meats with assorted  mustards and condiments

Assorted cheeses of Europe

House-smoked salmon display

Soup and Salad:

Creamy potato soup with fresh dill and chopped egg

Celery root and apple salad

Shredded beet and horseradish salad

Assorted hearth-baked rolls, bread and butter

Entrees:

Chef-carved whole roasted hog with sauerkraut and dumplings

Wiener Schnitzel  with roasted root vegetables

Braised pheasant with bacon, red cabbage, and roasted potatoes

North Atlantic Cod in mustard sauce with fresh vegetables

Dessert:

Apple pancakes with lemon sauce

Poppy seed cake

Black Forest torte
