Two important messages today.
One, Montezuma Bowl will open Saturday. The Cat Drivers have done incredible work. There will be some sweet powder skiing. It will be so fun.
And two, this morning we reported 5" of new snow and it continued to snow heavily for several hours. Last time I looked at the snow stake we had received additional 6" of snow. I'd call that a foot from this storm. I was lucky enough to ski a bit on Pali and the Beavers Lift in the early afternoon. It felt like skiing a foot of powder. Slalom Slope, Thick and Thin, Glockenspiel Glade and Lenawee Parks were to die for. The skiing at The Basin is unbelievably good right now.
