With all that is going on in our world, I had some time over the holiday weekend to reflect on what Martin Luther King Day means to me. Sure, it is a nice mid-winter break, but it is more than that. Dr. King's work has made all of our lives better. Against overhwhelming opposition, he fought injustice at all levels. While I was only 7 years old, I clearly remember the news from the day he was assasinated. We cannot forget what he stood for, what he did and the price he paid. His bravery and his convictions and his work on civil rights have created the gold standard for all of us to follow.
