I just went for a nice and peaceful skin up to Black Mountain Lodge. After the lifts close is such a nice time of day on the hill. The last few employees are working their way down and a handful of skinners are working their way up. Skinning in December and January is often in the dark. Since the days have become a teeny weeny bit longer I was able to enjoy the view and catch some spectacular alpenglow on Black and Lenawee Mountains.
