We are reporting 11 inches of new snow this morning. That brings us to 33" in five days. The skiing is over the top incredible.
It has been a very big morning up here. Some staff worked through the night managing the snow. CDOT did a Professor and Widow shoot just before dawn. No slides hit the highway. The Base Area crew is still clearing snow. The Lift teams are digging and snowblowing their stations clean. Ski Patrol is scattering across the hill doing avalanche mitigation work. Highway 6 is open from Keystone. The forecast is calling for some wind, but less than yesterday. We anticipate all lifts operating. Montezuma Bowl and the Beavers never really opened yesterday. There is going to some extra fine, powder skiing in those places today.
We are going to have a great day. An absolutely, classic day. Be patient. The entire place might not open instantaneously, but there is so much sweet skiing to be had.
